Established in 1952, Patrician Brothers’ College, Blacktown, continues to be a centre of excellence, providing meaningful opportunities for our students to realize and develop their talents and abilities. The College is set upon seven hectares in a garden environment with extensive and modern facilities.
The College motto, “Christus Regnat”, translates to ‘Christ Reigns’. We strive to build a community where ‘Christ Reigns’ in the hearts of all. Students are challenged to grow in a Catholic community, modelling the Gospel values of Faith, Forgiveness, Honesty, Hope, Justice, Respect, Tolerance and Trust. Students are encouraged to develop a personal spirituality based on the Patrician ideals of Prayer, Eucharist, Community Life and care for the Poor.
We are a Catholic school in the Patrician tradition. We serve the Catholic community of Blacktown under the auspices of the Diocese of Parramatta. As a Catholic school we require all our students to take a sincere examination of religious issues in Religion Education classes and take part in all religious rituals, Masses and retreats.
Patrician Brothers’ stands for, and promotes, learning and academic excellence and has a proud record in all aspects of academic endeavour. We are a learning community that seeks to draw on the insights of the past and the resources of the present to help the boys and young men in our care to acquire knowledge and wisdom and grow in faith and integrity. Our curriculum and our teaching recognise the particular learning needs of boys and our students gain consistently outstanding results in Naplan and the Higher School Certificate.
Our curriculum encompasses academic and vocational courses. There are cultural and sporting pursuits for individuals and teams and students have opportunities to exercise leadership and service. We promote pride in our Church, our country and local community.
We look to the future with great hope and excitement.
